After trying and loving Pai’s Copaiba Deep Cleanse AHA Mask, I did a deep dive into the rest of their skincare range.
I was on the lookout for a new moisturiser that would help keep my skin hydrated without overloading it, blocking my pores or aggravating my acne.
Pai’s Geranium & Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream promises to do just that: rebalance the skin, help combat blemishes and hydrate.
I’ve been using it for about a month now as the last step in my morning skincare routine, and sometimes again in the evening (although it’s called a ‘day cream’, there’s no reason why you can’t use it at night).
It comes in a matte glass bottle (a bonus if like me you’re trying to minimise your plastic usage) with a pump applicator which distributes just the right amount so there’s no risk of wasting any product.
The texture is like a light cream and it smooths on very easily so you only need 1-2 pumps to cover your face and neck. It leaves my skin feeling very comfortable and calm (no redness, itching or irritation) but doesn’t feel heavy or greasy in the slightest.
It sinks in very quickly and leaves a semi-matte finish, so it makes a great base for applying makeup.
The ingredients list is impressively short and 70% organic. And as with all Pai products, it’s free from artificial fragrances, alcohol denat., parabens and lots of other skin irritants.
It has a subtle botanical scent which is nice and not overpowering in any way.
At £38 for 50ml it’s definitely not cheap, but as a little goes a long way I’m hoping it will last a good few months.
